glaumbaer -museum/village in northern iceland. very good place to visit if you're interested in turf houses.

there is admission payable to see them inside, but I think that just looking from outside one will have a very good idea of what life must have been like in such dwelling.

and when you drive around Iceland and then in the middle of nowhere you'll see steaming meadow -it means that there is a hot river/stream. what you have to do is stop the car and go have a dip!

 

 

HUSAVIK

krotka wizyta w husavik, jednej z wiosek polozonych na polnocnym wybrzezu islandii. husavik slynne jest z rejsow w poszukiwaniu wielorybow - wycieczka taka trwa okolo 3 godziny, kosztuje okolo £30, oczywiscie organizatorzy nie moga 'gwarantowac' ze wieloryba sie zobaczy, ale zdaje sie ze maja prawie 99% pewnosci :)

short visit to husavik. located on the north shores of Iceland, this village is one of best to take whale watching trips. such trip takes about 3 hrs, costs about £30, and although there's no 'guarantee' you'll see a whale, I heard that 99% times you'll see one

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ICELANDIC HORSES

in the country where number of horses is just slightly smaller than habitats (every third person has a horse!)  .. and the horses even look Icelandic ! (go, see them and you'll know what I mean..)
